A friction wax is what you want if you don't have much time or much money. It's cheaper than a hot wax but will only last for 2-5 days on the snow.
A hot wax costs a bit more and takes us a little bit more time but is more durable, faster, and protects yours skis better than a friction wax.
Our turn around time is guaranteed to be less than 24 hours. If you need it faster than that, then you can pay an extra $5.00 to have your equipment expedited.
If we have the staff available, we can get it done while you wait. A friction wax will take about 5 minutes while a hot wax will take about 15 minutes.
To properly care for your equipment, you should have your skis or snowboard waxed at the beginning of each season, at the end of each season, and through out the season as needed.

Service Glossary
Hot Wax
A treatment using an infrared wax machine that applies a layer of wax to the base of skis or snowboards. This wax is then buffed and polished, enhancing glide and protecting the base from environmental damage.
Friction Wax
A quick waxing method that applies wax through friction, which heats and melts the wax onto the ski or snowboard base. This method is fast and effective for immediate slope readiness, followed by a buff and polish for a smooth finish.
Base Grind
A process that involves grinding the base of the ski or snowboard to smooth out any imperfections and flatten the base, ensuring it is perfectly smooth and ready for wax application.
Base Edge Sharpen
Sharpening the edges that make contact with the snow along the base side of skis or snowboards. This is crucial for improved handling and grip on icy surfaces.
Side Edge Sharpen
The process of sharpening the side edges of skis or snowboards, enhancing the ability to carve and turn sharply on snow.
Minor P-Tex Repair
The application of a small amount of P-Tex, a polyethylene material used to fill minor gouges and scratches on the base of skis or snowboards.
Major P-Tex/Core Shot Repair
Repairs involving significant amounts of P-Tex for deep gouges or core shots where the core of the ski or snowboard is exposed. This repair is essential for protecting the equipment from further damage and water ingress.
Binding Mount
The process of attaching bindings to a new ski. This includes measuring and setting the bindings to fit the skier’s boots, ensuring safety and performance.
Binding Re-Mount
Re-attaching bindings to skis after filling and plugging previous mounting holes. This is typically needed when adjusting the position of the bindings or switching to different skis.
Binding Calibration
Adjusting the bindings to fit the boots properly, setting the DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) to the correct level based on the skier's weight, height, skill level, and boot size. This ensures the bindings release safely under stress.
